Towable passenger steps for narrow body aircraft

The towable stairs CDS – 2 are designed for an easy accession of passengers to and out the airplanes with a door located in a height of 1.8 m to 3,8 m above a ground level. An uplift of the stairs can be adjusted/set in this range fluently for 8 cm. The uplift of the stairs is ensured / secured by a hydraulic cylinder with an independent hydraulic circuit powered/driven by a hand/manual pump.

The staircase is assembled on a trailing/towable steel closed profiled chassis.
The stairs are fastened down/ensured in a desired height level by mechanical backstops, which automatically fit into security slots on two telescopic supports of a upper/top platform. The upper/top platform has a rubber inclinable edge there where it touches a fuselage. The rubber inclinable edge ensures a tight/close contact of the stairs with an airplane and also inhibits a mechanical wear/abrasion.. The sides of the upper/top platform are bordered/lined by an adjustable railing again equipped with the rubber ending.
The front navigable axle is rotatable on vertical pivots and insures/enables excellent handling.
Four mechanical stabilizers insure a stability of the whole staircase when in an operational position.

The step and the upper/top platform are covered by an aluminium metal plate with a non-slippery finish/surfacing.
