GPU 90kVA+28V
The Hitzinger ground power unit (GPU) is designed to provide a ground power servicing facility for 200/115V 400 Hz systems of aircraft.
Basically, the unit is designed according to ISO 6858, DFS 400, ARP 5015 , It consists of a specially designed synchronous alternator manufactured by Hitzinger, which is driven by a modern diesel engine.
A canopy covers the GPU against influences of the weather and accidental contact and provides maximum noise attenuation. The four-wheel trailer guarantees an excellent manoeuvring capability. It is designed for air-side towing operation only and is not licensed for public traffic areas.
The control and monitoring ensure easy and fail-safe operation. The design and the
component selection are optimised for minimum service and life cycle costs.
